You really won’t find a better place for downhill skiing in Bohemia. Špindlerův Mlýn is the only place in the Czech Republic where the snow is on the ground until April.
Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Resort operates five chair-lifts and 11 ski-lifts in Špindlerův Mlýn and Horní Mísečky, and a total of 26 km of downhill skiing trails, of which 85% are equipped with snow blowers in case of adverse weather conditions. The Horní Mísečky ski resort is very suitable for beginners and families with children, offering four ski lifts, ski slopes that are always perfectly groomed and a snowpark for snowboarders.
Snowboarding and downhill skiing – the Medvědín and Svatý Petr Ski Resort are near to our guest house. Both centres offer high-standard, snow-blown and daily groomed skiing trails both for demanding skiiers and beginners. Local skiing trails are of the highest standard in the Czech Republic with regard to their camber length and their grooming.
Information on the operation of ski lifts and on the state of downhill pistes and cross-country trails, snow parks, ticket prices and other useful advice for winter visitors can be found at www.skiareal.cz.
Immediately beneath our guest house there is a fine children's ski lift and snowtubing, where you can try a wild ride on an inflatable tyre down an ice chute. Skiing School has been operating here for several years. Here likable instructors will willingly attend to your children.
A refreshments stall sells honest-to-goodness mulled wine at the ski lift...
